The Oracle of Clarion: Unveiling the Goddess
This book was awesome! Originally, I'd bought it for my father because he likes spiritual adventure stories (like Hinds Feet on High Places- also an uplifting read).
The Oracle of Clarion lived up to my expectations of being an inspirational adult fairy-tale, and it shocked me with some plot twists.
I thought that I was open-minded before reading it, but some of the concepts presented in the book about Divinity, mystical union, fate, and reincarnation have dramatically changed the way that I view the world.
One of the many touching trips that the main character, Clarion, takes through time and space shows how a particularly domineering political figure of his time was abused as a child, explaining his harsh nature.
Another shows the progress of two lovers through various incarnations, beginning with a beautiful lifetime in ancient Greece. And there are stories of warring 'enemies' who learn to see their unity after death...
The beginning of the book is a bit slow, and some of the later plot twists were daring, and almost offensive to me at first glance. I was forced to expand my perspective on things and I love that!
I feel that overall the book was a truly wonderful adventure.
